Calcium Aluminosilicate Boron-Free Glass Frit · SiO₂ 65.68% · 0.1–0.7 mm Granules
Amorphous Ceramic Frit is a vitreous ceramic raw material produced by fully melting silica, limestone and feldspathic raw materials at high temperature and water-quenching the melt to suppress crystal growth. With virtually no crystalline phase, it softens and melts uniformly at comparatively low temperatures and forms a smooth, high-gloss glassy layer without compositional segregation during firing.
The product is a calcium aluminosilicate frit built on SiO₂ 65.68% with CaO 12.90% and Al₂O₃ 10.00%, balanced by alkali fluxes Na₂O 4.14% and K₂O 1.98% and viscosity-controlling MgO 4.09%. Fe₂O₃ is held to just 0.09%, which favors whiteness and color reproducibility in premium sanitaryware, tile and tableware glazes, while B₂O₃ below 0.05% makes it a boron-free composition — advantageous for boron regulation compliance and high-temperature stability.
It is supplied in two granular grades, 0.1–0.35 mm and 0.35–0.7 mm, offering excellent handling in weighing, conveying and wet ball-milling, with strong dispersion and reproducibility in glaze slip preparation. Composition and particle size can be customized to match the customer's firing profile and CTE requirements.
Key Features
- 🔷 Fully Amorphous (Vitreous) Structure — Rapid-quench vitrification removes crystalline phases — uniform low-temperature melting with no segregation
- ⚪ Ultra-Low Iron (Fe₂O₃ 0.09%) — Preserves whiteness and color reproducibility — ideal base for premium sanitaryware and tableware glazes
- 🌿 Boron-Free Composition — B₂O₃ < 0.05% — regulation-friendly and high-temperature-stable eco frit
- 🔥 Lower Melting Point & Energy Saving — CaO/Na₂O/K₂O flux system lowers firing temperature while raising sintered density and strength
- 🧱 Crazing-Resistant Design — 10% Al₂O₃ tunes viscosity and thermal expansion matching to suppress glaze cracking and peeling
- 📐 Two Granule Grades · Easy Handling — 0.1–0.35 mm / 0.35–0.7 mm — optimized for weighing, conveying and ball-mill efficiency
