SiO₂ 99.93% · D50 9.96 µm Angular Fused Silica — high-purity amorphous angular filler (SN-FP10)
SN-FP10 is a high-purity angular fused silica powder produced by melting natural quartz at ultra-high temperature, quenching it into amorphous SiO₂ and precision milling / classifying the particles.
Laser-diffraction analysis (Horiba LA-950) gives D50 9.96 µm, mean 9.97 µm, mode 10.36 µm, standard deviation 1.38 µm, D10 8.08 µm, D90 11.72 µm and D99 13.21 µm — an extremely narrow, single-peak distribution centered on the 10 µm class. Particles above 15 µm are effectively absent, suppressing scratches and surface defects in coating, printing and molding.
The angular morphology creates strong particle interlocking, raising mechanical strength, dimensional stability and abrasion resistance of the cured body while suppressing settling and improving the shape retention (thixotropy) of slurries and pastes. Together with the ultra-low CTE of amorphous fused silica (approx. 0.5–0.6 ×10⁻⁶/°C), low dielectric constant and loss and excellent chemical stability, it suits EMC and encapsulants, CCL and prepreg, industrial coatings and adhesives, precision casting, engineered stone and composites.
