SN-SHS is a full-range colloidal silica (silica sol) lineup covering 14 grades across 5 stabilization systems: alkaline (JN), acidic (SW), ammonia (JA), low-ion (ZX) and specialty (JGC). Spanning SiO₂ 15–41% and mean particle size 6–30 nm, the range covers investment-casting shell binders, paper and textile surface modification, paints and coatings, refractories and ceramics, silicon-sheet treatment agents, solid electrolytes for secondary batteries, catalyst supports and anti-slip treatments.
Silica sol is an odorless, non-toxic, milky-white colloid of amorphous SiO₂ nanoparticles dispersed in water. The 10–20 nm ultrafine particle size and high specific surface area allow it to blend with other substances without affecting color, offering excellent dispersibility and permeability. After water evaporation, the colloidal particles bond firmly to material surfaces through Si–O linkages, delivering strong adhesion. Grades in the JN (alkaline), SW (acidic), JA (ammonia), ZX (low-Cl⁻) and JGC (ultra-low-ion) series are supplied with fine adjustments of pH, ionic content, viscosity and particle size, packaged in 25 kg drums, 200 kg drums and 1,000 kg IBCs.
